Hi. I have a PSP 2000 with Firmware 5.50GEN-D2. I am trying to use Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSN download) with CW Cheat (the latest version). I did everything I needed to, and the menu opens up in-game, but I can't get the codes to show up. I tried two cheat.db files. One had the codes pre-loaded, and the other had codes I manually pasted. Neither of them worked. What can I do to get these cheats to show up?
i dont know much nout CWCheat but in if there is a text file it is probably name to the wrong game e.g. NPUG-80114 is SFCO and ULUS-98606 is SFLS (off the top of my head)
As far as I can tell the game ID is correct. ULUS-10391 for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. I haven't tried this with any other games, though. I've tried a ton of things (reinstalling cwcheat, replacing the cheat.db, replacing the codes) and nothing works. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm noticing that the game is showing up as empty and the ID is showing up as HB4B12D3BC instead of ULUS-10391. I don't know how to fix this, but I tried changing that ID in the db file and still nothing.
Hmm, I'm thinking that maybe you accidently modified the game ID as what the others above mentioned... But i'm suggesting that you start over again from downloading a new "cw cheat" from this website >>>CWCHEAT Download Center well, perhaps you have accidently messed up the codes in the cw cheat as well, so here's a full guide to start from the beginning to the end. Have fun reading ^^ To Activate Cw Cheat 1st) download a cw cheat from the link i provided 2nd) Open the folder after u finished download it 3rd) Inside the folder, there are many files..and some are quite useful...but for now.. juz choose the "install" folder 4th) Inside the "install" folder u will see 1 folder and 3 files... Copy all of them 1st 5th) Now plug-in ur psp to your computer... open your psp roots that is where u find Musics, Pictures, Videos, ISO and so on...erm of course make sure your PSP system is using custom firmware~ original firmware cant load cw cheat~ 6th) Now u opened PSP roots, u will see a folder named "Seplugins".. Enter the folder.. 7th) After u entered the folder, rgt click and choose paste (u will paste all the items u copy juz now in 4th step) 8th) After that, unplug ur psp from ur computer... 9th) Shut Down your PSP (by shutting down, u will need to hold your PSP "close button" more than 3 seconds and it will enter Shut Down) and dun forget u can as well "Shut Down" when in sleep mode (normal blank screen)..juz hold 'close button' for 5 or 6 seconds directly~ 10th) Yes, now ur PSP console is Shuted down... open it bac WHILE holding down your PSP "R" button.. This is to open "Recovery Mode" 11th) In recovery mode, u will see many Lists that is disabled... u need to enable them all( u should know how to do...) 12th) Now exit everything and then ur PSP will Boot(open) normally 13th) Almost there... now you play some of your CSO or ISO games 14th) In the game, that is during play time... (not "loading session" like "Please Wait" or "Loading" in the game) Press "Select Button" and hold it for 3 seconds... 15th) A screen will appear and Bingo, its cw cheat in your psp... there are some menus, choose the first one..that is List of cheats inside the first option( enable them by making the (N) to (Y) of the cheat.. U know when u enter the list of cheats ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yet, some game dun hv cw cheat list for u to enable...there are a few reasons, the game is new..or the cw cheat is outdated... so thats y, I have here list of cw cheat list for you guys to copy to your cw cheat, that is specialized for Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G Ok, heres how to put my list of Codes i posted here to your Cw Cheat.. 1st) Read carefully 2nd) Connect ur PSP to your computer 3rd) Open your PSP Root 4th) Enter the folder named "seplugins" 5th) Select cw cheat and enter the folder 6th) Now you will see a file named "cheat.db" double click it or open it with notepad of your computer 7th) Now, the notepad will shows a lot and lots of CODES for many games 8th) Observe the codes, it always start with _S "game ID" the (_S) without bracket is always behind an ID of a psp game.. 9th) Then observe, after "_S" the bottom is "_G" "game name".... and follows at the bottom is "_CO" cheat name or sometimes "_C1" cheat name for that "_C1" symbolizes activated code in your cw cheat, that is when you enter the game of that code specifies to...u dun have to enable it in the cheat codes menu of cw cheat, as for that...you only simply press enble cheat at the menu of cw cheat straight after u pressed "select button" 10th) after that, you will see "_L" cheat codes at below "_C0" cheat name or "_C1" cheat name 11th) Okay, now press CTRL button and F Button at the nopepad windows, u will open a "Search menu" 12th) Type "_S ULJM-05500" without (") in the search 13th) this is to find the game Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G location of the codes in the notepad... hmm, actually u can type in (Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G) name in the search also..but afraid mess up by EU or US version for newbies..i dun recommend this. and for that my codes posted here is for US version only. 14th) Now u have found ur Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G locations 15th) Copy all my codes posted..to the line below "_G" Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G (rmb, below it) 16th) For newbies, i should tell this too..the codes can be paste to other line as well..but dun try dis until u sure wat u r doing.. 17th) Exit ur nopepad windows, and Save, Yes to everything... rmb save to your "cheat.db" in seplugins of your psp( now to elsewhere = P) 18th) U done, open ur Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G game in ur psp normally... and then press Select button for 3 seconds (I assumed you have "activate" your cw cheat in ur psp) 19th) Have FUN~~ Any question you can ask... and if there is "sms grammers" that u cant understand here..im sorry, but i prefer it coz i can type a lot faster~ hahaha
PSP 2000 - Shut Down PSP Completely (Holding the on/off button) Then Hold "R" Trigger and Hold the "On" button til the PSP boots up PSP Slim/3k - if u have the ChickHen Software and ur PSP is Modified .. Press the "select" button and go down and choose Recovery Menu *NOTE* I had a PSP phat .. now I have a modified PSP 3k .. so Im not aware bout the PSP Slim. So hope this works Dude do u have the cheat.db for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite? Cuz I re-Formatted my Laptop and I forgot where to get the cheat.db i had b4. Im not sure of the new Cheat.db bcuz there's a lot of them and I dont really Trust them. so Please Help me
Hey, im using PSP 1000. and i upgraded my version from the shop 5.50 Gen-D2. im not sure if the seplugins can use for that. And im totally new to all this. mind if u help me out a little bit? i tried alot of times with the seplugins. when i went to recovery menu>plugins> nothing appeared. Mind helping? Ur help will be highly appreciated. THx

hi Cloud3 i made the vsh.txt with the ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1 but now my psp wont play anythin just black screen then turned off. the recovery menu still works. i disabled the cwcheat but after exiting it'll turned off again. is my psp bricked? any suggestion would be greatly appreciated btw i'm runnin on 5.50 gen D3 thx again
fix the turning off already just tried goin to usb straight btw, my cwcheat works on other game. i tried a few games and they work but i just copied ys seven and valkyria chronicles 2 and both doesnt work. any help would b appreciated guys
