alright i recently upgraded to 5.50 Gen-D3, since i really like CTF themes, and knowing my old 5.00 M33-6 Themes wouldnt work i looked for a CXMB Plugin for the 5.50 Gen Series what i found was this cool installer that automatically installs the CXMB plugin onto your psp, and i thought i should share this to those that dont like to manually do it, this is pretty easy to use, but if u really need help then look at the steps in the spoiler (they have alot of detail ) below the link STEPS: (for those who still have problems) 1.) Connect your psp to your computer (USB Connection) 2.) Run the "CXMB Installer for 5.50 GEN-D3 by Xcan" .exe file you jst downloaded 3.) under the Destination Folder, press browse, go to my computer, and select the drive that is your psp 4.) press install 5.) W8 for it to finish installing and press close 6.) disconnect your PSP and restart it (VSH menu or hold the power switch for 3 sec, and turn it back on) 7.) it should have loaded a CTF - installed when installing CXMB - If not contue to step 8 8.) IF NOT, turn your psp off again (hold power switch for 3 sec) 8a.) Enter Recovery mode (turn on PSP while HOLDING the R trigger) 8b.) go to plugins and enable cxmb.prx [VSH] by selecting it and pressing X bI.) If there is a cxmb.prx [VSH] and cxmb.prx1 [VSH] then disable cxmb.prx [VSH] and enable cxmb.prx1 [VSH], if that does not work then try again but vice versa (prblm usually happens when you have an older version of CXMB still on tere) 8c.) select back and press X 8d.) select exit and press X 8e.) the custom theme should have loaded if not, go to theme settings and select clear XMB black Download: MEGAUPLOAD please inform me if you find any problems TESTED ON: 5.50 GEN-D3 BTW: i did not make the installer or the CXMB plugin, i just found it and spreading the knowledge
neh. i can see my themes, and select and enable them. but only the background changes. not the icons.
Gamer and lewisriemer~ Did you change out your old set of ctfs for new 5.50 themes because I had the same problem where i upgraded from 5.00 m33-6 to 5.50 gen-d3 and was frustrated that I could see the themes but not get them to work. The cxmb you installed should be correct if you can see the themes. Google up a 5.50 theme pack and replace out your old themes and try them. I'm 99% sure that you fix your problem. It took me a while to realize, "wait, I still had old 5.00 themes don't I?" Hope this helps!
